Please
refer to the attached notice as to when to turn the water on
for the sprinkler system.
BLOCK
WATCH
PROGRAM
The
Villas continues to be a Block Watch Community which basically
means we keep a watchful eye out for anything in our complex
which might give cause for alarm – garage doors open,
newspapers and flyers accumulating on doorsteps, people who
don’t appear to belong in the neighbor prowling around etc.
Also, if you are going to be away for more than a few days,
please provide Jim Lees with a contact name and phone number
of a person who has access to your unit in the event of an
emergency. On reviewing our list of contact information we
noticed that a number of units have not provided us with this
information and in some cases the information is obviously out
of date. Thank you to those who have already updated their
information. This requirement is a benefit to our Corporations
insurance policy with BFL Canada.
SPEED
LIMIT
A
concern has been expressed about some vehicles travelling
within our Villas greatly exceeding our posted modest speed
limit. We encourage everyone to talk to our friends visiting
to please slow down.
FENCE
PAINTING
We
are looking for volunteers to help us with painting the full
length of the top surface of the fence only. This project can
be done in June or early July. Please let Deet Adam know if
you are interested and when you are available and we will
start the planning.
Potluck Lunch
Villas
residents have been invited by the Rocky Ridge Rockers to
attend a second potluck lunch at the Ranch Centre on Tuesday,
May 16th. Our
first potluck, on Valentine’s Day in February, was well
attended and thoroughly enjoyed. We’ll be setting up just
before 12:00 noon and all Villas residents are invited to
attend. Just
bring a dish to share along with your own cutlery, plate, cup,
and napkin. Coffee
and tea will be supplied.
After our meal you are welcome to stay to play board or
card games.

Summer
Social BBQ
The
Villas have traditionally had a BBQ on a weekend near the end
of August. The
host provides garage space to serve the food and space outside
to set-up tables to eat at.
If you would be willing to host our Canada 150 version
of the Villa’s Social please contact one of the Board members.
