ANNNUAL GENERAL MEETING

 

The annual general meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2016, 7 PM at the Rocky Ridge Ranch Centre (lower level). The information package will be in the mail shortly. We are looking for 3 new owners to join the Board of Directors. Gerry Janecke, Jim Lees and Jake Hiebert have decided to step down. If you are at all interested, please feel free to contact any of the Board members to find out what is involved. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the AGM.

 

PRECAUTIONS TO TAKE WHEN PARKING OVERNIGHT OUTSIDE YOUR GARAGE

 

One of our residents had their vehicle broken into last week. Although the Villas is a very safe community we all need to be cautious when parking vehicles outside our garage. Be sure you lock the car doors and have not left anything visible inside.

 

LUNCH AT THE PUB

 

Earlier in October we proposed an informal get-together at the Mad Rose Pub for lunch.  We were pleased that sixteen of our residents came and enjoyed their time together!  We will definitely do this again.

 

EARLY MORNING BREAKFAST

 

Based on our successful Lunch at the Pub event, Anna Rath has suggested we try an early breakfast at Eggs Oasis in Royal Oak Park – the cluster of buildings across 112 Avenue from the Mad Rose Pub. This local restaurant has a specially priced breakfast early (before 9 am) on the first Tuesday of every month so we’ll give it a try on November 1st. USE OF COMMON SPACE BY MAILBOXES

 

Your board of directors is seeking your input concerning possible uses for the common land around the community mailboxes.  A suggestion has been made that we might develop some kind of sitting area that residents could use in the milder temperatures.  This may be something we consider as a Canada 150 project for the coming year.  Besides considering what kind of development would be workable we would also need to consider its feasibility and determine how it should be financed.  If you would like to be involved in discussions regarding such a project please contact Allan either by phone: 403.288.6960 or by e-mail at allanrix@rockyridgevillas.ca
